From 25 to 28 October 2016, the most favourable dates for the professional sector to prepare the next campaign as part of ePower&Buiding

1st Iberian Congress of Solar Control and Protection, which showcases all of the new proposals, technical solutions and trends on solar control and protection from the standpoint both of the architect and of the installer

Solar protection, the main subject in the call to meeting, has a specific category in the VETECO-ASEFAVE Architecture Awards

Solar protection will be of particular importance in the next edition of VETECO, and along with windows and façades will be one of the large sectors around which VETECO 2016 is structured, now defined as the International Window, Façades and SunProtection Trade Show. The meeting organised by IFEMA will be held from 25 to 28 October 2016 at FERIA DE MADRID.

VETECO SOLAR, the new European professional proposal for even years, will have a specific place in the VETECO halls and will be the meeting point for blind, awning, fabric and automatic device companies to present solutions both in consumer motivation and in the channel of transformers and installers, in order to prepare the campaign for 2017. "Spain's climate makes it a country with a very strong tradition and a strong presence of companies of the sector, which are already world leaders for the quality of their work and their professionalism. Veteco Solar comes to cover a commercial need between offer and demand on both the domestic and international levels" declares Raul Calleja, Director of all construction exhibitions.

The participating companies will be provided with participation forms and tools to make their participation profitable and to see their particular needs and goals fulfilled Among the points worth special mention, the area of VETECO SOLAR limits the maximum contractable surface area to 70m2, national and international guest programs, speakers corners for training, B2B meetings, routes for consumer motivation and tailored communication plans, among other tools. "We want the sector and companies to see Veteco Solar as an instrument to grow and drive their commercial activity" says Calleja.

From the standpoint of the professional visitor, Spain, along with nearby Mediterranean countries such as Portugal, France, Italy and North Africa, account for one of the principal geographic areas calling for solar protection solutions and the receivers of the largest volume of exports of the industry from the Iberian Peninsula. This makes a distinctive display offer necessary.

Furthermore, alongside the exhibition and commercial call, on 27 and 28 October the 1st Iberian Congress of Control and Solar Protection has been programmed in partnership with Tecnopress Ediciones, which is the publisher responsible for specialised publications of the like of Protección Solar, amongst others. At the meeting the subjects dealt with, round tables, presentation of success cases, etc. will be distinguished and adapted both to opinion leaders, mainly architecture studios, and to the group of transformers and installers.

As another novelty, and in order to help connect solar protection to architecture studios, VETECO SOLAR is going to include a new category in the traditional VETECO ASEFAVE Architecture Awards for the Best Windows and Light Façades, distinguishing the best projects and interventions related to solar protection and control. The awards, organised along with the Spanish Association of Manufacturers of Light Façades and Windows, ASEFAVE, will be in its twelfth edition next year.

A new strategic focus for 2016, under the concept of “ePower&Building”, VETECO will be held alongside CONSTRUTEC, the International Materials, Techniques and Constructive Solutions Exhibition, and PIEDRA, the International Natural Stone Fair. This exhibition of the benchmark construction fairs in Spain is now complemented by the largest trade fair in the south of Europe related to lighting, smart cities and buildings, electrical installations and telecommunications and automation, MATELEC, the International Exhibition of Solutions for the Electrical and Electronics Industry. ePower&Building therefore becomes the reference event in Europe in the area of energy and construction. Looking at the figures for 2014, the four exhibitions will gather more than 1,200 companies and 60,000 professionals from 80 countries in 8 halls of the IFEMA fairground. This new structure will be decisive in calling the principal national and international opinion leaders amongst the architects, engineering companies, planners, builders, decorators and interior designers, the tertiary sector, the hotel sector, property administration, etc.
