As the most comprehensive design event in Switzerland and with the innovative quality of the Swiss creative industry as its raison d'e^tre, Zurich Design Weeks aims to join the list of leading European design festivals.
Theme 2024: GOOD NEWS
The third edition of Zurich Design Weeks has a lot of good news in store. It focuses our attention on progress, sustainable ideas as well as small and large innovations that make us optimistic.
An ancient behavioral pattern makes us pay more attention to bad news than good news. If there is a threat of danger, our survival instinct is activated, and our attention is sharpened. By contrast, we generously filter out good news as they don’t require any immediate action.
Zurich Design Weeks 2024 override this pattern for three weeks: with the theme of GOOD NEWS, we are putting all the good news from the world of design in the spotlight, offering them a stage. Because design makes the world more actual, beautiful, circular, diverse, efficient. As a problem-solving discipline, design can generate ideas and products that provide answers to pressing questions and have a positive impact on our lives.
