30/06/2006 – Lo scorso 23 giugno, durante la serata conclusiva della “Architecture Week 2006” a Londra, sono stati annunciati i vincitori dei premi indetti dal RIBA - Royal Institute of British Architects e dedicati alle architetture che contribuiscono allo sviluppo locale in Inghilterra (RIBA Awards) e nell’Unione Europea (RIBA European Awards).
I progetti premiati non appartengono solo a grandi nomi dello scenario architettonico internazionale, ma anche a giovani architetti emergenti.
I 62 vincitori del RIBA Award (54 in UK e 8 nella UE) costituiscono la lunga lista dei candidati al prestigioso premio RIBA Stirling Prize organizzato con la collaborazione di The Architects’ Journal e conferito al progettista dell’edificio più significativo per lo sviluppo architettonico dell’anno precedente, che sarà consegnato il prossimo 14 ottobre.
Durante la cerimonia altri 10 edifici internazionali riceveranno il RIBA International Award, in collaborazione con The Architectural Review, e sarà annunciato il vincitore del Lubetkin Prize 2006.
